You are about to enter a sacred space. Holy. Set apart. An encounter with the One who knit you together in the secret place awaits you. There is none like Him, and before Him there shall be no other gods. His name is Yahweh.

WHAT IT IS

You are coming to encounter the Lord in a thin place. For centuries Celtic Christians have referred to a physical location where the separation between Heaven and Earth is thin as “thin places”. These are places that have been saturated in prayer and worship time and again, opening a spiritual gate into the Heavenly realm. At Bethel, Jacob encountered the Ladder of Jesus, on whom angels ascended and descended, making it a thin place. Pneuma Energeia, which means the effectual working or power of God’s Spirit and breath, was born out of a personal encounter with Yahweh in a thin place.

Our prayer room is a space created for God-encounters. Here you will rest while you meet with and receive from the Lord. As you open your heart to Him, you will encounter His Voice, Presence, and Power. This is where the faithfulness of God meets the mysteries of God as you receive personal revelation and instruction for your life. Many experience the kabod Presence of God (Hebrew for weighty glory) hovering over them during the session.

“Surely, your God is a God of gods and a Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries.” (Dan 2:47)

BENEFITS

Discover a deeper connection with the Lord as you experience the reality of “in Him we live and move and have our being” (Acts 17:28). To know Him, we must encounter Him through the Holy Scriptures and experience Him as the Word made flesh. Experiential encounters with Jesus rewire us: our thoughts, hearts, bodies, and trajectories. When Saul had a personal encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, it changed mankind forever.

Awesome things happen in the Presence of the Lord: emotional healing, physical healing, peace, rest, hope, direction, identity and so much more. We leave those moments feeling personally known and deeply loved by Him.

WHAT TO EXPECT

An hour session is conducted in our prayer room: a thin space that has been cultivated in prayer and worship. While you lay down and rest, your facilitator Ivory Bustin will be quietly interceding in the room with you; only speaking to share from the Lord when prompted by Him. The beginning of your appointment will include a few minutes to discuss the session layout and the final minutes will include a check-in of your overall experience. There’s an additional option to extend your session to process your experience. The music playing during your session is prayerfully selected.

If you’ve encountered God before, welcome back. If you’ve never encountered His manifest Presence, welcome home.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

Dress comfortably for your session, including socks. You will be laying down and asked to take off your shoes. Clients remain fully clothed during the session.

WHAT WILL BE DISCUSSED DURING MY SESSION?

At the beginning, your facilitator will explain the layout of the session. At the end, be prepared to discuss your experience of the session including how you benefited from it, along with any other general feedback.

WHAT IS THE COST?

Pricing can vary depending on whether you are a current therapy client, or as someone interested in this service alone (without currently being or becoming a therapy client). You do not need to be a therapy client to purchase this service. If you are a current therapy client, your cost will be the same as your therapy session cost. If you are not a current therapy client, the session is $150 payable with debit or credit card via electronic registration. Your payment is expected at the time of registration to secure your appointment.

CAN I MAKE A PRAYER REQUEST?

Pneuma Energeia is not intended to address specific prayer requests. It is a listening prayer session for both the client and the facilitator. Whatever your needs, Philippians 4:6 says to “let your requests be made known to God” and pray for your session ahead of time. Your facilitator will not be taking any prayer requests.
